Why did you decide to become a home inspector?
GK: “Aside from the obvious of being fascinated with all aspects of construction. I really enjoy the personal side of being involved in the buying/selling process. In helping current and future homeowners make the ‘best’ informed decision in selecting the right house….that they will one day call ‘home’…is the ultimate goal! Home is truly where the heart is!”
What’s the one thing you wish every homeowner knew?
GK: “The importance of regular maintenance — regular seasonal maintenance of all the household components, is the best preventative action against costly repairs. PLEASE pay attention to the small issues before they cost you down the road.”
What is the most surprising thing you’ve uncovered during a home inspection?
GK: “I would have to say opening an attic hatch, entering, only to find a bat colony living lavishly inside. As you might imagine, I was quite surprised!”
