Jim Gibson, P. Eng., has been a member of our Carson Dunlop team since 1999. His extensive knowledge and report writing skills set Jim well apart from the average home inspector. He is always willing to share his knowledge and help others.
Why did you decide to become a home inspector?
JG: “I’m a huge fan of home design and renovations. Home Inspection is a great opportunity to focus on my interests and meet new people.”
What’s the one thing you wish every homeowner knew?
JG: “Most homes are a ‘work-in-progress’. Just because a home isn’t perfect when you first see it, doesn’t mean you can’t make it your dream home.”
What is the most surprising thing you’ve uncovered during a home inspection?
JG: “In one home I saw evidence of squatters sleeping in an attic full of fiberglass insulation — they must’ve been itchy!”
