Walter Collodel is a member of the Carson Dunlop Home Inspection team. Walter is experienced, knowledgeable, and committed to helping clients become more informed about their homes, whether they are buying, selling, or interested in general maintenance. As an engineer Walter is both technically and professionally exhaustive in his approach to Home Inspection. His appreciation for the integrity of a building in addition to his understanding of the reality of homeownership, equates to a balance between the theoretical and the practical. At Carson Dunlop we recognize the need to earn your business by delivering exceptional customer service, with Walter and our team, one inspection at a time.
WC: “I’ve always had an interest in construction, science, and how things work. Becoming a Home Inspector gave me the opportunity to work in a field that I find interesting. It also gives me a chance to educate people on a lot of things regarding the house as a system – eliminate some of the intimidation that people have about how things work and explain why things are built the way they are.”
WC: “Homeowners should try to understand as much as they can about their homes. They need to regularly educate themselves on how things work and not be intimidated by technical aspects of the home.”
WC: “In one home I was inspecting I found that a corner of the foundation had cracked. The house was literally tearing itself apart and sliding down a hill. You could stick your arm into these cracks, they were so large.”
