Toronto Office

Richard Weldon, P.Eng, LEED® AP

  • Graduated in 1987 from the University of Toronto with a B.A.Sc in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Designated by the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario as a Professional Engineer in 1989.
  • Designated as a Consulting Engineer in 1995.
  • West Central Region Councilor, Professional Engineers Ontario.
  • An employee of Carson, Dunlop & Associates Ltd. from 1987 to 1997. Duties included inspecting over 4,000 residential and commercial buildings of various descriptions and reporting on conditions of major components such as structure, building envelope and mechanical systems.
  • An employee of Carson, Dunlop, Rohmann & Associates Ltd. in 1991. Duties include detailed progress inspections of roofing membrane installations, consulting with architects on roofing details and procedures and specification writing for roofing applications.
  • Formed Carson, Dunlop, Weldon & Associates Ltd. with Alan Carson and Robert Dunlop in 1997.
  • Member of the Ontario Building Envelope Council.
  • Member of the Ontario Plumbing Inspectors Association.
  • Member of the Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada.
  • Served as an expert witness to the Ontario Courts-General Division

Jason Edelstein, P.ENG, M.A.SC., LEED® AP

  • Graduated in 2005 from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Engineering.
  • Graduated in 2007 from Concordia University with a Master of Applied Science in Building Engineering (Building Envelope Design).
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) since 2009.
  • Certificate of Excellence Award in 2005 from Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec.
  • An employee of Trus Joist – A Weyerhaeuser Business, in Montreal, in 2004.  Architectural Design Technician. Duties included: Structural analysis and product design using proprietary engineering software, product plan layout and detailing, creating material lists and producing production packages, project management and communication with customers, architects, engineers and inside sales representatives.
  • An employee of Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. from 2007 to present. Primary duties include inspecting residential and commercial buildings of various descriptions and reporting on conditions of major components such as structure, building envelope, asphalt, electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Developed a methodology to analyze and report on energy consumption of buildings at Carson Dunlop Weldon & Associates Ltd. Duties include reporting on cost effective energy saving retrofits and calculating the return on the energy saving investment.

John Lyons, BScE

  • John graduated in 2010 from Queen’s University with a BScE in Mechanical Engineering.
  • He joined CDW Engineering in October 2010 as a Building Consultant, and is currently an Engineer-In-Training.

Wendy Anielski

Wendy joined Carson Dunlop Weldon and Associates in 2004. Along with her background in International Business Administration, Wendy possesses several years of experience in corporate management.

Prior to joining CDW, Wendy worked with the City of Toronto where her work included coordinating a diverse group of projects including, but not limited to, management and planning of annual fund-raising events, bookkeeper for various Toronto historical sites and Executive Assistant to the Curator.

As Office Manager with CDW, Wendy supervises all administrative functions within the office.

Elaine Heikura

Elaine joined Carson Dunlop Weldon and Associates in July 2007 as an Administrative Assistant/Dicta Typist.

Elaine has a Vocational Diploma in Secretarial and Accounting Studies from Riverside Park Technology Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

In March of 2003, Elaine moved to Toronto on the spur of the moment. Once in Toronto, she worked for a Long Term Care facility in the heart of downtown. To this day, Elaine enjoys volunteering her time and visits with the residents on a regular basis.

Gary Eyre, RHI

  • An employee of Carson Dobney Weldon & Associates Ltd, an engineering firm that specializes in Property Condition Assessments of commercial buildings. Gary is part of a team that performs Property Condition Assessments, Capital Reserve Studies and Reserve Fund Studies on commercial and residential properties
  • A Registered Home Inspector (RHI 109-BC/03) who has worked for James Dobney and Associates since 2001 performing residential and commercial building inspections
  • Principal of Eyre Contracting Ltd. From 1985 to 2001 providing project management and general contracting services for architecturally designed single and multi-family homes, custom renovations and commercial construction projects 1995.
