Horizon Updates

As part of our commitment to you, not only do we add new Horizon features and tools to make your job easier, but we are also constantly reviewing your requests for more information and areas that we can improve on. Of course we would like to thank all of the inspectors who have offered their expertise by providing additional information for updates to the Horizon database.
Please review the list below for new implications, reference articles and illustrations that have been added to the Horizon database and are now available for you to include with your reports.

  • Garages are one of the very few sections in Horizon that are duplicated in the database. However garages can be found in both the Exterior and Interior Recommendation sections.

We have added several new items, many of which are garage door operator recommendations:

1. Inoperative
2. Fails to auto reverse
3. Adjustment needed to open or close limit
4. Extension cord for opener
5. No dedicated electrical receptacle
6. Sensors inoperative
7. Sensors poorly located
8. Sensors damaged
9. Door locks not disabled
10. Side ropes not removed

  • In the Exterior Recommendations, - Landscaping section, we have improved the illustrations for Improper slope or drainage in the walk and driveway section.
  • In the Insulation Recommendations - Foundations section we have added:

    1. Crawlspace ventilation – new sub heading
    a. Missing, Inadequate – new list items

We are certain you will appreciate these new report items. Thank you for your efforts in helping to grow Horizon.
