The Home Inspection Training Program is easy to use and learn from and has been designed around convenience. The training is a self-paced home study program so you can study at your leisure in the comfort of your own home. In addition there is unlimited tutoring support provided by experienced, professional home inspectors. All testing is done online and can be taken whenever you are ready. The program has been adopted by many community colleges and home inspection associations in Canada and the United States. The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) for example, has adopted the program and named it ASHI@HOME. The program is also recognized by the National Certification Authority for home inspectors in Canada as meeting their educational requirements.

The same program if taken through a community college, is recognized by the OAHI as meeting the requirements for the Introduction to Home Inspection course and the Residential Heating Inspection and Residential Electrical Inspection courses. The Carson Dunlop program cost is typically higher if taken through a community college in Ontario.
